We're Expecting Puppies!

so kirt gave me the news today that Miss Mia is expecting. YIPEE!!! i am looking forward to raising one of her puppies in our household. she's such a fun dog and although she has so much energy she will be perfect for my entergenic little boys that just love to run and run. :) i think raising her from a puppy age will be nice too. i know where she came from i know what shots she will get and i will know if she has reactions to shots and i just feel like it's a good thing that we're getting a puppy... i loved roscoe to death and still miss him dearly even though he wasnt with us that long. we grew attached to him quick. he was a wonderful dog and it made us sad that we had to put him down.

i am kind of set up for her already. i have a kennel i'm going to use when we leave the house... i have some toys and i have a collar and three different leashes. one of them is a retractable leash and the others are a "double dog walker" it is similar to this: http://www.kennelgear.com/images2/prods/7cqt_10912%5B1%5D.jpg

my uncle and his ex wife used to make them and actually had a patent for them at one time. my dad still has some hanging around his house and i snatched up a pink and a white of them. :) i can use the retractable and the white one if we choose a boy and a pink white or retractable for a girl. :) i need to buy a bed. i do not have one anymore. bo and sammy destroyed the one that i had and i gave it to the rescue when one of the other foster moms picked up bo. i thought it was supossed to go to his new home but i dont think that it did. well anyways i dont care. the vizsla breed is a pretty clean dog. they groom themselves like cats and only need a wipe down once or twice a week and only a bath once a month more if they are really dirty dogs...?

i am looking forward to the fall as well. :) my husband is buying a bike and it's short enough where i can ride the bike. :) i am thinking besides walking at the dog park i will be riding a bike too!!! i was thinking about while it's still nice outside walking to the school to drop tj off, walk to the dog park since it's not too far away... walking back to the school to pick up kids and then home. the dog i imagine would be worn out by the end of the day and i still can play with the dog. i'm not always gonna be able to do that though... i'll need to think of some winter stuff that we'll have to do. :) its going to be nice having tj in school although originally i could spend the afternoon excercising or cleaning i guess now i get to include a puppy in there too. :)
