I also have been trying to pack. i have been babysitting for the summer trying to earn some extra cash and my husband has been out of work on an injury and we're moving in 3 weeks to our own home that we're buying! OMG where in the world is the time going?! i am so busy and always staying busy. we have got this and that and everything in between to do before we move. I can't wait though. it'll be worth it in the end! the house is wonderful. yes it needs work... we dont mind though. it's a 3bd 2ba home, 1883 sq ft, 3 (YES 3!) living spaces (living room, family room, Sun Room), a dining area, a kitchen, a laundry room & i guess a pantry (And LOTS OF CUBBARDS!!!) and every book lovers dream, built in bookshelves!!! <3 here are a few of the pics. I am pretty excited. and we're getting it for a great price that we can afford. it is as much as we pay here in this rental but at least it will be going towards something. :) They had 22 or 23 pics altogether. it is a beautiful property and it's been empty for over a year. my husband looked at it and just knew and everything else he looked at nothing compared to this house. there was one other house that he liked that was just rebuilt from the ground up after the tornado in Joplin but it was not our favorite house of them. it was our back up option should we have had any problems trying to get the house we wanted. the sellers agreed on an offer with us and we're moving forward. we're closing on the house sometime in the next couple weeks and moving the 14th of July. Wish us luck cuz at this point we're going to need it. we're in crunch time and he still can't do anything. :( Luckily we have lots of help from some of our close friends. we should have no problem moving out. moving in might be another story but we'll cross that road when we get there. we have the rental truck for like 5 days so we should have plenty of time. we wont have to feel rushed anyways. :) In the end the payoff will be worth it. this house has almost everything we want. it doesnt offer gas heat. :( it is an all electric house which sucks but such as life. the roof is newer, the ac/heat are newer, there is a huge yard, there is a 2 car garage, there is a bay window, there are two bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, more sq ft then the house we originally looked at a few years ago, and i think even a walk in closet in the main bedroom. I am looking forward to growing into and out of the house. :) although i don't think that we'll grow out of it anytime in the next few years. my kids are still pretty young. i wanna live in that house for years to come and look forward to putting work into our own place. :) it doesn't need much luckily. some wall paper needs to go, floors need to be changed out and it needs paint and eventually updated counter tops in the kitchen and i am going to install a double sink in both bathrooms. right now they have the space for a double sink but not the extra sink itself but that's a down the road deal. :) I am excited and i can't believe we're going to be homeowners! everyone i've showed the house too online friends and family wise love the house and think for us it'll be perfect. Even my mom approves!!! i about crapped my pants when she approved of the house. she sent me a message and said "you better make sure shoes come off at the front door!" HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! i told her that one of the first major things we're doing is changing out the flooring. Wallpaper & Paint go first. she even agreed on wallpaper. she's like that is nasty wallpaper!
