IMM Week # 8 Feb 25

i had a slow one in my actual mailbox but had a great one in buying & winning. :)

Won From Author:

Won this and His Secret Past Ebook in a "7 weeks of giveaways" contest she had. Thanks Katie. :)

Won From Amanda At Stuck In YA Books

And i also won a Michelle Rowen prize pack From Read My Mind. I squealed when i found out, it's one of my favorite authors and books of hers i haven't read! i won a "demon princess" book a week or so ago but the "living in eden" ones have been on my wishlist since i read her immortality bites series and was looking at other books of hers. now i haven't read the nightshade series, i know one of my favorite authors yet i have books i haven't read of hers. the nightshade series i have is in audio format and i haven't found time to sit down and actually listen to them. i do have a trip to Iowa coming up though, could come in handy considering my drive is 9 hours. i'll have to figure out how to put them in my iPhone so i can listen to them through the stereo...

And I won: Signed Copy of Dark spell and one Poster by Elizabeth Mueller From Jean Booknerd

E book Won of Ghost Of A Chance. Another one of my favorite authors (Indie though)

purchased:

I also Purchased Beautiful Creatures & Beautiful Darkness. I wanted to add them to my collection in physical format.

Our Library system had their annual sale today, BAD IDEA when you love books!!! i spent $35 and got a ton of stuff. i wanna go back next year only volunteer instead so i can get early access to the goodies. :) i still had fun although my kids didn't. lol they did get some stuff though so it wasn't all just about me. i wish i could have found more for my husband but i am not sure what all he likes now days. he's been reading the area 51 books but doesn't read as much as i do.

my big buy:

For my kids, movies & books

Ignore My Mess, I hadnt had a chance to clean yet. these are the boxes i brought home. 7.50 for the LG box and 3$ for the other.

books i bought

Books I picked from Out of the Box

the ones i bought at .50 a piece, yes .50 a piece!!! not all are in the greatest shape but still!!! course that christmas one looks brand spanking new, not even a mark on it!

And whatever my friends dont pick through out of the big box i bought i am going to donate to some of the local shelters and stuff i think. :) i thought about a giveaway but i'm not sure, they're mostly older romance books from harlequin and stuff. i'll have to think on it after my friend goes through the books...

i had a pretty cool & lucky week in the book-world. :) I also had a blast in the shopping world. my local thrift store does 50% off on Thursdays and i went this week and bought my husband 14 pairs of shorts for his two jobs, 2 pairs of jeans, bought my oldest 3 pairs of jeans, bought a couple pairs of shorts for Evan and tj and some jammies and a shirt for the kids and a purse for me... i spent 73$ but that stuff at the full value at that thrift store would have cost me more. i paid less then 3$ for each pair of jeans/shorts i bought for my husband and kids... plus i went to goodwill and bought two brand new sweaters for my boys for pics for $3 a piece and bought another pair of 50% off shorts for my husband along with a 4$ pair and some other misc stuff...  i will not be needing to stock any clothes anytime soon oh and my son LOVES his sponge bob Christmas Jammies... LOL! i love that my kids don't mind that i go to thrift stores. i don't do all thrift stores, i do buy new stuff just when i can get by with buying clothes for dirt cheap for growing boys that are both going through a growth spurt currently, i'm all for it. i am really glad spring will be here soon because i am getting low on jeans that will fit both kids. almost time to pass on to other kids and put them in shorts till next fall when i fill the wardrobe up again. :) TJ gets a lot of hand me down stuff so he will be almost set when school starts but Evan will desperately yet again need jeans. :-/

ok now that i have blabbed your ear off i promise they wont always be this big, i just had a busy week. :) And Always if you wanna do your own IMM visit The Story Siren to find out more!
