i can't believe how fast this year has flown by. i can't believe it's going to be october tomorrow! i have started planning a party for a 7 year old... we're going to chuck e cheese and just going to play, eat pizza, and have cake. evan informed me he wants to do toy story theme this year so that will be what were doing. we're shooting for the sunday before thanksgiving. i'd do it on his actual birthday but considering his birthday falls on thanksgiving this year i think that is out of the question. we will be having a turkey dinner at home this year. not a huge turkey as we're not big turkey people... i am gonna make some homemade mashed tators with some gravy, some sweet potato casserole, and a pumpkin pie and probably a green bean casserole or something... i am considering maybe ham instead of turkey? not sure yet... i also know that we're going to MO for christmas. there is a recipe i seen that i wanted to try the other day, i'll have to track it down again but it would be awesome to try for christmas up there. i am thinking that it might be something i do. ;-) i should be getting my recipes ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas so i can start making my grocery lists for those two months. i know weird that i plan this far in advance but if i dont then i feel like i'm rushing and i hate that...heck i started thinking up christmas stuff at the begining of summer...
it has also been almost a year for kirt and his sobriety. it's been one heck of a year but he is just about there. oct 4 will be the 1 year mark and i couldnt be more proud. i do have to admit i miss him drinking sometimes and i'd love for him to drink to bring back the guy i feel like i lost but at the same time i can't stand him clearing a 30pack in a day!?! i dont care if he was a casual 2-3 beers a day drinker. he was like that for the longest time and then something changed in work and it just increased and got out of hand one night...
i've been working on the weight loss, i guess so far so good. hard to believe at the start of the year i was 212lbs!!! i am now 176... i guess that's really awesome! i am still shooting for 150 and i will slowly get there... i am going shopping with one of my best friends when she comes down next year and i'd love to be able to shop for clothes weighing 150lbs...if i can lose a lb a week i'd be ok with that... it would take me 26 weeks to shed the last of my weight (give or take) it would be gone by spring. ;-) i really need to start focusing on it more... i have a bunch of workout DVD's and i broke out the bike yesterday. after basically 2 miles i was so sore. i havent been on a bike since high school! i am still feeling it today in my upper arms. i am still considering going back out again today though, maybe i'll shoot for the extra mile that i didnt do yesterday because i was sore...
i also got my 5 year BC the other day. I got the Mirena ( http://www.mirena-us.com/ ). it was a little painful at first when he was putting it in but you know it's not all that bad. that first day i was sore and crampy but now... not so much. we had sex for the first time with it in the other day, that was interesting. it actually hurt a little but all was better the next day. it is also been known to eliminate your periods and lighten them.i have noticed the lightened part. i got my IUD in just in time because i started when i was supossed too. i am really enjoying it though and knowing i dont have to get more BC till 2015!!! woo!!! although i have to admit i'm not sure i even wanna bother with another kid when 2015 comes around. i am thinking about still having kirt snipped. however it can grow back so i'm not sure if that is an option i want to explore anymore. i am going to wait it out and see how things look down the road but i dont know if i am going to wanna go back to diapers and sleepless nights... i wanna go back to work. i actually have been thinking about going back to work starting next summer. i wanna go to the buckle and apply for a job doing freight. it would be a part time job that i can do during the day. i have been wanting to stick the boys in summer camps over the summer especially TJ to get him used to being in school all day. he's going to be all day next year. i am gonna have 9-350 to myself!! i could do 9-330 or so at the buckle though doing freight. the boys could ride with angela in the morning so i could be at work on time... i have a few months to think about it but i think i'm going to do that. i'm not sure i really wanna work at the buckle for as long as my mom but my mom is right i know how to do some of the stuff. i'd need a refresher and would love to be able to buy some preppy clothes. i love the lucky jeans! i really love lucky cologne! i love the lucky t shirts, i could buy all of that for kirt and i and my boys when they get to that point although i dont think that i would be there that long it would defently be something i'd consider... i am actually kind of stoked about it and told kirt it would be something i'd love to do. i already know how to do some of the stuff. and during the busy seasons i could get some extra hours. i can arrange for the kids to go somewhere after school i have friends and i have a husband that has a flexible schedule for the time being. i would love to find him something else but i'm sure wherever he ends up we can work around my schedule as well and if we ever move i can always move locations... and having my mom work for the buckle if i need to have jeans shortened i can ship them to her store and have her work on them if i want. i normally dont trust anyone with my clothes but my mom but considering she's 9 hours from me and she takes forever to get stuff done sewing wise IDK i would have to think about it...
anyways i feel like i typed up a storm about nothing really. although it felt good to get out. ;-)
I am always thinking ahead. I make a menu for the month as well as a shopping list. lol. Not always do we follow it but most of the time we do. I start thinking about Christmas about the beg of summer if not sooner. lol. It's good to be ahead and organized.
ReplyDeletei usually dont do a menu but i really should. i used too and then i just stopped. i do have particular items that i buy every month when i do grocery shop. i have also started on my tax time grocery list (even tho it doesnt get used till jan/feb). i make sure that a nice chunk of our taxes goes towards groceries/household items (laundry soap, toliet paper, food, etc). this year i'm going to be stuffing my deep freeze as well as the fridge and cubbards.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good idea. Never even thought about doing that one. OH I have items I buy every month but I really do love a menu, it makes things so much easier....for me anyways.
ReplyDeleteyou should try the tax time grocery list sometime. ;-) take a huge chunk (i usually put like 800-1000 towards it although i dont always use that much, its just nice knowing that i have the extra if i need it and it gets us 4-5 months worth of food depending on how fast my kids eat it :|) and put it just towards household items and food. i always walk out with at least two carts full of stuff. aldis is my favorite store at tax time. i am looking forward to shopping without the boys this year. i am gonna split it up throughout the week. i usually split it up between sams, walmart, and aldi's. i also make sure that we have a little bit of cash that we can use on whatever. this year i'm getting myself a beautiful pair of black diamond earrings on walmart's website and im getting a tattoo.
